horse coaching session with
Syrina
Together with Beau, I took my place with us in the indoor arena. Alexandra laid down two poles, and we had to walk together from one pole to the other, straight towards our goal. As silly as it sounds, at first, we couldn’t even manage that, purely because I froze and Beau froze along with me. I was given an assignment to ask Beau direct questions. Beau is open to such things and is willing to cooperate, given that he is highly sensitive. As a result,
I received immediate answers during the coaching session. For example, I asked if she was happy with me as her owner. Beau took a step closer to me and just barely avoided knocking me over (A resounding yes). Or the question of whether she wanted to resume riding with me; Beau responded by trotting around me, whereas before she was just standing still beside me (A resounding yes). Very special.
By the end of the coaching session,
I had answers to all my questions and dared to look ahead again, knowing that I am doing a very good job and have a happy horse.
Horse coaching brings people and horses closer together. No one is perfect, and ultimately, if you are willing to learn, dare to open yourself up to it, and dare to receive answers, you give yourself and your horse the space to build further.
Alexandra is the right person for this; she radiates calm. Calm, clarity, openness, and love for people and animals. More than worth it.
