Alexandra Steenbergen

Transformation coach, hypnotherapist, and the woman behind the horses.

Why I built Camargue Within

I know what it is to have everything and still feel something is deeply wrong. For years I pushed forward, achieved, managed and quietly broke. I’ve lived through loss, burnout, and a single mother’s fight for her daughter’s health.

My turning point didn't come from a book or a weekend seminar. It came from horses specifically, the Camargue horses I encountered when I first dreamed of a life in France.

They responded to me as no person ever had. Honestly. Without agenda. They showed me, plainly, where I was blocked, and what it felt like the moment that block began to release.

Those years shaped me, not as a victim but as a guide. I trained in coaching and clinical hypnotherapy, moved toward France, and built Camargue Within not as a business but as the thing I wish had existed when I needed it most.

How transformation actually happens here

Most personal development works on the surface. You learn tools, you reframe thoughts, you get better at managing what’s happening. That’s useful. But it doesn’t reach the part where the real block lives.

At Camargue Within, we work at three levels simultaneously:

Equine-assisted work thumbnail

Equine-assisted work

the horses respond to your actual state, not your story, creating a level of self-awareness that accelerates everything

Coaching

conscious clarity on what’s happening, what you want, and what is getting in the way
Clinical hypnotherapy

Clinical hypnotherapy

working directly with the subconscious patterns that coaching alone can’t reach

what working with me looks like

I work with a small number of clients at a time. That is a deliberate choice. This kind of work requires genuine attention, real trust, and the willingness to go where the conversation needs to go, not where it’s comfortable.
Expect directness. Warmth. Zero bypassing or vague promises. I will name what I see, ask what needs asking, and hold the space for the transformation that you've been working toward in some cases, for years.
You will not leave with a list of things to do. You will leave as a different version of yourself.

You don't need to have the right words. Just start.

Alexandra has heard every version of “I’m not sure this is for me” and she’s the right person to help you figure out whether it is.

Go ahead, take that first conversation.
